I would like to welcome you to the life of the Brea Congregational Church, a small but vital congregation of those who seek a higher purpose in their lives.
BCC is a place where people come to worship the transforming power of God in their lives, to discover a basis for a life of hope, and to form supportive friendships. There is a place for you in this growing fellowship. We look forward to the possibility of your becoming a part of the Brea Congregational Church family. We invite you to come and grow strong with us!
In friendship,
The Reverend Rick Marshall

A ministry of transformation and hope . . .
I believe that God is present in every moment, working in and through creation, as the creative source of possibility and transformation. Therefore, with God there is always a new beginning, always a new possibility. As such, an openness to and discernment of God’s presence is central to Christian living. At BCC, we work to support and encourage this kind of awareness, in worship, in mission, and in our fellowship.
We welcome diversity as part of God’s wondrous creation. We welcome your questions and doubts. We invite you to the communion table. We respect your faith journey. We think we have as much to learn from you as you may want to learn from us. We invite you to worship!
Peace,
The Rev. Dr. Jeanyne B. Slettom

Our Mission at Brea UCC
Brea Congregational United Church of Christ is an Open and Affirming hospitality-based community of faith. We welcome in worship and service all of God’s children of any race, origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or ability. We celebrate and trust the transforming power of God, which was manifested through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We work to provide an environment of peace, social justice, personal empowerment, and spiritual growth. Our ethical guides are to honor Christian openness to share our beliefs, doubts, struggles, and growth within the context of mutual respect. Therefore, our purpose is to reach out, taking the risk of opening ourselves to the possibility of making the stranger a friend.
“I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.”
Matthew 25:35
Thought for the Week
