The 411
Because it’s never easy to visit a new church for the first time . . .
Worship Service
Regular worship services are held in the Sanctuary every Sunday at 10:00am. Most services are ASL interpreted.
Dress
A few people dress up, but most of our congregation chooses to come casual. Come the way that you feel the most comfortable.
Communion
The Rite of Communion is observed on the first Sunday of every month, and anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer.
Prayer Altar
The Prayer Candle Altar is a place to light a candle as an offering of prayer for a loved one. If you wish, fill out a Prayer Card and your prayer will be included into the pastoral prayer at the close of the sermon. Prayer cards can be found in the back of the pews, or at the prayer altar in front of the pastor’s pulpit. Please feel free to light a candle at any time during the worship service.
Social Hour
Immediately following the worship service, please join us for refreshments and conversation.
Children & Teens
Children and teens are welcome to join in the worship service. At the close of “Pastor’s Time with the Children,” children may leave to attend their youth group classes. Learn more about Faith Formation.
Nursery
A fully equipped nursery provides quality care for children three years of age or younger. Crafts, games, and story-time are included, and parents are encouraged to visit.
Special Needs
The Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall are handicapped accessible. If you have any questions or require assistance, please see one of the greeters or any church member. Additionally, most Sunday worship services are ASL interpreted.
American Sign Language
At Brea Congregational UCC, we’re aware of the special needs of deaf people. Most of our Sunday worship services have an ASL interpreter. All deaf people and their families are welcomed to join us. Learn more about ASL at BCUCC.
Listening Assistance
Hearing-assistance devices have been added to many of the pews to enable hard-of-hearing people to listen to the sermons, prayers, and music.

Brea Congregational UCC welcomes all couples wanting to create a ceremony that reflects their values and beliefs. Learn more about planning your wedding at BCUCC.
